Our recycling process:
We use two resources of materials for recycling in our yarns, post-consumers jeans and post-consumers bottles. So two recycling systems had to be set up. One for jeans, one for bottles.
Our recycled polyester:
Our recycled polyester is made from bottles collected in Italy, Japan and India. The dyeing is done at our factory in Tourcoing.
Our recycled jeans
Our recycled jeans is produced within 400km from our factory. The dyeing is done at our factory in Tourcoing.
To give you an idea, to make 1 kilo of RDenim yarn: we need 1/2 jeans and 18 plastic bottles
Our organic wool process:
We work with GOTS certified partners. They prefer natural processes to chemicals. Sheep are well taken care of: large green spaces in the open air; prohibition of mulesing, fast and respectful medical treatments,… Last but not least, with GOTS, working conditions in the fields and workshops are decent. And when we dye the yarn, we are commited to the same rigor using only the dyes authorized by the label.
Our organic wool comes from sheep raised in Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa or Australia. The dyeing is done at our factory in Tourcoing.
Our organic cotton process
We work with GOTS certified partners. They prefer natural processes to chemicals. The water released into the natural environment is clean, and because they work less on the land, it retains water better. Last but not least, with GOTS, working conditions in the fields and workshops are decent. And when we dye the yarn, we are commited the same rigor using only the dyes authorized by the label.
To give you an idea, organic cotton cultivation requires up to 91% less water than conventional cotton. And soil and water acidification is up to 70% lower.
Our organic cotton is grown and spun in India. The dyeing is done at our factory in Tourcoing
